1. What skills are required to join competitive team*?
Chin-up pullover on bars (legs straight)
Completely vertical handstand
Cartwheel on a straight line
MUST SHOW SKILLS DURING TRYOUTS
*Note: Requirements are for competitive team only, specific skills are not required for pre-team consideration.
2. What else do we look for?
Overall athletic ability
Personality: how they respond/interact with coaches
Ability to correct mistakes in their skills
Ability to handle coach’s critique of skills
Gymnastics specific strength and flexibility (pull ups, hanging tuck hold, splits)
3. What commitment is required?
Introductory team levels have a 2–3 hour practice twice a week. They are required to attend 80% of practices scheduled for each month. Meet season is December through March/May (depending on the level) our team attends 1–2 meets per month. The meet schedule is decided in advance and given to parents at our initial team parent meeting before the season starts.
4. How does my child join Sinai’s competitive team?
We will have team tryouts Saturday March 20th from 4:30–6:00pm. You will be able to sign up through sinaisportserie.com or by stopping at the front desk. Specific team information (costs, practice times, etc.) will be announced during our parent meeting at the beginning of tryouts.

COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS
Sinai Sports is giving your children the opportunity to join our competitive gymnastics team!
Our gymnastics team trains multiple times per week for multiple hours per session depending on their level. They will continue to build strength and flexibility required for injury prevention and long-term success. Our current boys team competes in USAG levels 4-10 and our girls team competes in the USAG Xcel Bronze - Sapphire. This is the option for all individuals looking to participate in competitive gymnastics.
Age Group: Ages 6+
Current Session: Sept. 2, 2025 - Dec. 20, 2025
Next Session: Jan 5, 2025 - June 1,2026

Girls Xcel Bronze Team - $156/month:
This level is for less experienced gymnasts competing in their first or second year. Gymnasts will continue to refine and perfect skills that were learned earlier in their development while training more advanced skills for future gymnastics routines.

Girls Xcel Silver Team - $184/month:
This level is for girls with a couple of years of experience competing or are confident with skills across all four events. Gymnasts will continue to refine and perfect skills that were learned earlier in development while training more advanced skills for future gymnastics routines.

Girls and Boys Senior Team - $250/month:
This level is for girls & boys who have previously competed in Xcel Bronze, Silver or any USAG level 3+. They are confident performing skills and routines across all four events. They should be able to work independently with coaches' guidance and direction.
